Ivan Mihaljevic & Side Effects - Counterclockwise

The album “Counterclockwise” by Ivan Mihaljevic & Side Effects is and interesting sound made of soft rock tones with impressive vocals.

The song “What is Underneath” puts you in the mood to kick it with your friends and have a good time while the song “Gilded Cage” gives you a softer perspective and a relaxed feeling.

The lyrics are lovely and the contrast between the songs makes the album a variety of auras.
“Eclipse” has a magical sound that puts you in a trance within the intro.

The amazing thing about this track in particular is that he is able to find use a different sound and then slip back into the alternative mood he seemed to intend for the entire album.

The softer sounds of “I Am” really speak to the heart and provide a platform for the listener to enjoy an ending to the album on a sweeter note.

The female vocals in this number provided a great contrast but at the same time, it would have been nice to hear more of them.

This album starts with a strong introduction busting out in a kick-ass rock song and continues on with tracks dedicated to upholding the alternative sound.

It was refreshing to hear some of the tracks where there were more acoustic sounds and less of the effects that were added to take away from the fullness of the singer’s voice.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this album to anyone!
